My name is Heather Houston. I am a 4th grade teacher at Taylorsville Elementary in Alexander County. I am currently working on my master’s degree in reading education through Appalachian State University. This is the second blog I have created and am doing so for my literacy and technology class.
As far as technology is concerned I have the basic technology skills needed to do the necessary tasks that must be done by a teacher. However, as we are in an ever changing world, my desire and need to enhance my technology skills, is necessary to keep my students abreast of these tools to provide them with an adequate opportunity to compete in the global world.
